1. Download

Choose the build format that matches your Mac. If unsure, use the .dmg for your architecture.

2. Verify checksum (optional)

Validate file integrity by comparing SHA-256 checksums.

  1. Open Terminal.
  2. Run: shasum -a 256 VoiceTel-3.5.6-arm64.dmg (or whichever file you downloaded).
  3. Compare the output with the value listed above.

3. Install

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg.
  2. Drag VoiceTel Phone.app to the Applications folder. Eject the disk image when finished.
  3. If macOS warns that the app is from the Internet on first launch, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the security message for VoiceTel Phone, and click Open Anyway.

4. First launch

  1. Open VoiceTel Phone from Applications.
  2. Allow microphone access when prompted. If you missed the prompt, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable access for VoiceTel Phone.
  3. Enter your VoiceTel SIP credentials (username, password, display name) as provisioned in the customer portal.

FAQ

How do I uninstall VoiceTel Phone?

Quit the app, open Applications, and drag VoiceTel Phone.app to the Trash.

The app won't open after installation

Right-click the app and choose Open to bypass Gatekeeper. You can also go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

The microphone isn't working

Ensure VoiceTel Phone has permission under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Also check System Settings → Sound for the correct input device.

Can I pre-configure the app for my users?

Yes. Place voicetel.json under ~/Library/Application Support/VoiceTelPhone/ for user-level deployment, or /Library/Application Support/VoiceTelPhone/ for system-wide deployment.
