Choose the build that matches your Mac.

arm64 for Apple Silicon (M1–M4), x86-64 for Intel; the Intel build also runs on Apple Silicon via Rosetta 2. If unsure, use the .dmg; the .zip is the same app as an archive for scripted installs. All macOS builds are signed and notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper opens them without warnings.

3 · Install and first launch

Drag to Applications, allow the microphone, sign in.

Open the disk image and drag the app to Applications, or unzip the archive for scripted installs. On first launch, allow microphone access and enter the credentials for your account.

  1. Open the .dmg

    Open the downloaded .dmg.

  2. Drag to Applications

    Drag VoiceTel (or VoiceML) to the Applications folder. Eject the disk image when finished.

  3. Scripted installs

    Unzip the .zip instead and move VoiceTel.app (or VoiceML.app) to Applications.

  4. Open the app

    Open VoiceTel from Applications.

  5. Allow microphone access

    Allow access when prompted. If you missed the prompt, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable access for the app.

  6. Sign in

    Enter your VoiceTel SIP credentials (username, password, display name) as provisioned in the customer portal. In VoiceML Phone, enter your VoiceML activation code under Settings → Auto Provision instead.

Questions about VoiceTel Phone on macOS.

How do I uninstall VoiceTel Phone?
Quit the app, open Applications, and drag VoiceTel.app (or VoiceML.app) to the Trash.
The app won’t open after installation
The builds are notarized, so Gatekeeper should open them directly. If your Mac’s security policy still blocks the app, right-click it and choose Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
The microphone isn’t working
Ensure the app has permission under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Also check System Settings → Sound for the correct input device.
Can I pre-configure the app for my users?
Yes. Place voicetel.json under ~/Library/Application Support/VoiceTelPhone/ for user-level deployment, or /Library/Application Support/VoiceTelPhone/ for system-wide deployment.
Upgrading from an earlier version?
Fully quit the running app from the menu-bar icon (right-click → Quit) before installing; otherwise the single-instance lock re-focuses the old version.
