Software-defined networking

A small appliance for difficult SIP networks.

The VoiceTel SDN appliance sits inside the customer LAN and establishes a secure tunnel to VoiceTel, helping PBX registrations and media flows avoid common NAT, ALG, UDP timer, and firewall problems.

VoiceTel SDN appliance — a small Raspberry Pi-form-factor device
The VoiceTel SDN appliance — compact enough to deploy alongside any PBX or SBC.

What it solves

  • No audio or one-way audio — Media-path issues often come from NAT, firewall, or RTP pinhole behavior. The appliance gives VoiceTel a controlled path.
  • Registration instability — Keep local PBX registration behavior stable while the appliance handles the upstream secure path.
  • Firewall policy friction — Reduce the need to open broad inbound SIP and RTP exposure at the customer edge.
  • Support visibility — Give support a clearer demarcation point for diagnosing LAN, tunnel, SIP, and media behavior.

Integrations

The SDN appliance is PBX-agnostic and works with any standards-compliant SIP endpoint. See PBX configuration guides for Asterisk, FreePBX, FreeSWITCH, FusionPBX, and 3CX setup, or SBC interop notes for AudioCodes, Cisco CUBE, and FreeSWITCH-as-SBC deployments.

For integrators and resellers

Ship the appliance to the customer's office. Their SIP problems disappear behind a controlled tunnel to VoiceTel — no firewall reconfiguration, no broad inbound exposure, no multi-day diagnosis cycles. You bill the customer; we bill you per appliance per month.
