Support / Voice / Calls labeled as potential spam

Calls labeled as potential spam.

Multiple companies provide call analytics, each with their own tracking and scoring systems. The result can be trusted calls that are incorrectly labeled. Here is how to get your numbers reviewed.

Free Caller Registry Open a ticket

1. Let the analytics providers know

The analytics companies score calls on behalf of the carriers, so one review request can reach several carriers at once.

Start with the Free Caller Registry. This free portal reaches First Orion, Hiya, and TNS, the analytics companies that support the major wireless carriers in the US.

The analytics companies review each request and may still label calls depending on their own analytics or research.

To reach one analytics company directly:

  • Call Transparency

First Orion. Used for T-Mobile. Supports bulk reporting.

  • Hiya

    Used for AT&T.

  • TNS

Used for Verizon, Comcast, Spectrum, and others.

  • Neustar

Use the contact information listed under Communications, Robocall Mitigation.

2. Let the operators and providers know

If you know who may be falsely identifying or blocking your numbers, or who may be labeling them in the databases that feed this information, you can reach them directly. The label a called party sees tells you which operator or app is applying it.

What VoiceTel can do

  • VoiceTel continues to work with the industry, through our participation in associations, directly with the carriers, and in partnership with customers, to help resolve false labeling while still working toward flagging and stopping illegal spoofing and robocalling.
  • By design, from the carrier requirements placed on their analytics providers, we as the number provider are limited in our ability to clear potential spam labels. The carriers and analytics companies have pushed registration, such as the Free Caller Registry, to the end user.
  • If the first two options are unsuccessful, open a ticket with our NOC and we will provide any help we are able to. Include the affected numbers, the label the called party saw, and the called party's carrier.
