Support / Voice / Phone / Fanvil

Configure Fanvil IP phones for VoiceTel.

Fanvil's X-series desk phones (X3S, X4U, X5U, X6U, X7), V-series video phones, and H-series specialty phones all share the same SIP configuration menu. Fanvil RPS handles fleet provisioning.

Web UI configuration

  1. Find the IP address: press Menu → Status → Network.
  2. Open http://<phone-ip>. Sign in (default admin / admin — change immediately).
  3. Open Line → SIP.
  4. Select Line 1 from the line dropdown at the top.
  5. Basic Settings section:
    • Line Status: Activated
    • Username: SIP username from VoiceTel onboarding
    • Display Name: caller's name
    • Authentication User: same as Username
    • Authentication Password: SIP password
    • Server Address (SIP Server 1): the SIP server host shown in your customer portal
    • Server Port: 5060
    • Transport Protocol: UDP
    • Registration Expiration: 360
  6. Outbound Proxy section:
    • Outbound Proxy Server: same as Server Address
    • Outbound Proxy Port: 5060
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Open Line → SIP → Advanced Settings for the same line:
    • Use STUN: No
    • Keep Alive Type: SIP Options
    • Keep Alive Period: 30
    • DTMF Type: RFC2833
    • DTMF SIP INFO Mode: Send 10/11
    • RFC2833 Payload Type: 101
  9. Click Apply.
  10. Open Line → Codec. Move PCMU and PCMA to the top of the enabled list. Disable codecs your VoiceTel account doesn't support.
  11. Save. The line registers within a few seconds — confirm under Status → Line.

Door phones and ATAs

Fanvil i-series door phones (i20S, i32V, i64) and ATA models use the same Line → SIP menu. Configuration is identical; the device-specific behavior (RFID, relay control, pickup-on-DTMF) is in Function Key / Output tabs and doesn't affect SIP registration.

Auto-provisioning

Fanvil RPS (https://rps.fanvilcloud.com) is the equivalent of Yealink RPS. Register your phone's MAC range in the RPS portal and point at your VoiceTel provisioning URL. Phones boot, contact RPS, redirect, fetch config, register — no on-site touch required.

Self-hosted provisioning: phones look for <mac>.cfg via HTTP/HTTPS. Contact VoiceTel engineering for a Fanvil config template.
