Support / Voice / Phone / Yealink

Configure Yealink IP phones for VoiceTel.

Yealink T-series phones (T46U, T48S, T54W, T57W, T33G) all share the same SIP account configuration menu. Provision via the web UI or via Yealink RPS for fleet rollouts.

Web UI configuration

  1. Find the phone's IP address: press OK (or Menu → Status on T33G).
  2. Sign in to the web UI at http://<phone-ip> (default credentials: admin / admin — change immediately).
  3. Open Account → Register.
  4. Set:
    • Line Active: Enabled
    • Label / Display Name: the user's name as it should appear on the phone screen
    • Register Name: the SIP username from VoiceTel onboarding
    • User Name: same as Register Name (auth user)
    • Password: the SIP password from VoiceTel onboarding
    • SIP Server 1 Host: the SIP server host shown in your customer portal from your onboarding email
    • SIP Server 1 Port: 5060
    • Transport: UDP
    • Server Expires: 360
  5. Open Account → Advanced.
  6. Set:
    • NAT Keep Alive Type: Default (or "Always" to be explicit)
    • NAT Keep Alive Interval: 30
    • DTMF Type: RFC2833
    • DTMF Payload Type: 101
  7. Click Confirm at the bottom of each tab.
  8. Open Status on the home tab — the line should show Registered within a few seconds.

Codec preference

Open Account → Codec. Enable PCMU, PCMA, and G.729; move PCMU to the top.

Auto-provisioning (fleet rollout)

For ten or more phones, use auto-provisioning instead of per-phone configuration:

  • Yealink RPS (Redirection and Provisioning Service) ships every Yealink phone factory-pointed at https://rps.yealink.com.
  • Register your VoiceTel provisioning server URL in the RPS portal under your account's MAC range.
  • Phones boot, contact RPS, get redirected to the VoiceTel provisioning URL, fetch their config, and register — no on-site touch required.

Contact VoiceTel engineering for the provisioning URL and config templates.
