Configure Zoiper for VoiceTel.

Zoiper 5 across all platforms accepts standard SIP account credentials. The free tier covers SIP-over-UDP, which is what VoiceTel SIP trunks use.

Steps (Zoiper 5 desktop)

  1. Open Zoiper → Settings → Accounts → Add account.
  2. Choose SIP account type, click Yes when asked if you have an account.
  3. Enter your VoiceTel SIP credentials:
    • Username: SIP username from VoiceTel onboarding
    • Password: SIP password from onboarding
    • Domain / Host: SIP server host (shown in the customer portal)
  4. Click Next. Zoiper auto-detects the registration server and authentication settings.
  5. If auto-detection fails, click Skip and configure the account manually:
    • Domain: the SIP server host shown in your customer portal
    • Outbound proxy: same as Domain
    • Auth username: same as Username
    • Use outbound proxy: Yes
  6. Open the new account's Network sub-tab:
    • Transport: UDP
    • Use STUN: off — leave disabled
    • Registration interval: 360
  7. Open Audio codecs. Enable PCMU and PCMA; disable everything else unless onboarding confirmed support.
  8. Click Save. Status indicator at the bottom should turn green.

Zoiper mobile

Same flow on iOS / Android: Add account → Manual configuration → SIP. Enter Domain, Username, Password. Set Transport to UDP, disable STUN, set Registration to 60.
