Configure Zoiper for VoiceTel.
Zoiper 5 across all platforms accepts standard SIP account credentials. The free tier covers SIP-over-UDP, which is what VoiceTel SIP trunks use.
Steps (Zoiper 5 desktop)
- Open Zoiper → Settings → Accounts → Add account.
- Choose SIP account type, click Yes when asked if you have an account.
- Enter your VoiceTel SIP credentials:
- Username: SIP username from VoiceTel onboarding
- Password: SIP password from onboarding
- Domain / Host: SIP server host (shown in the customer portal)
- Click Next. Zoiper auto-detects the registration server and authentication settings.
- If auto-detection fails, click Skip and configure the account manually:
- Domain: the SIP server host shown in your customer portal
- Outbound proxy: same as Domain
- Auth username: same as Username
- Use outbound proxy: Yes
- Open the new account's Network sub-tab:
- Transport: UDP
- Use STUN: off — leave disabled
- Registration interval: 360
- Open Audio codecs. Enable PCMU and PCMA; disable everything else unless onboarding confirmed support.
- Click Save. Status indicator at the bottom should turn green.
Zoiper mobile
Same flow on iOS / Android: Add account → Manual configuration → SIP. Enter Domain, Username, Password. Set Transport to UDP, disable STUN, set Registration to 60.
