VoiceML / Phone

VoiceML Phone on desktop, mobile, and the web.

VoiceML Phone is the softphone for VoiceML accounts. Install it on macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, or Android, or open it in the VoiceML Dashboard, and set it up with a one-time activation code instead of typing SIP credentials.

Mobile

Free on the App Store and Google Play. Incoming calls arrive as push notifications, so the phone rings while the app is in the background. See the iPhone and Android guides for permissions and troubleshooting.

In the browser

Operators can open VoiceML Phone from the VoiceML Dashboard. It runs the desktop app in a dashboard window, so calls continue while you work in the dashboard, and sets itself up from the same activation code.

Set up with an activation code

  1. In the VoiceML Portal, open Credential lists and generate a provisioning code for the SIP credential the phone should use.
  2. In VoiceML Phone, open Settings → Auto Provision and enter the code (XXXX-XXXX). The app fills in the SIP domain, username, and password and registers.
  3. Codes work once and expire after 30 days; generate a new one for each device.

VoiceTel accounts use VoiceTel Phone instead, which signs in with SIP credentials from the VoiceTel customer portal.
